What Caught My Attention

One experience that caught my attention was visiting the Bolt Inventors booth, where they provide mechatronics learning materials for students from around ages 9–10 up to 14–16 and above. They offer equipment such as Arduino boards, LEDs, cathodes, resistors, soldering tools and smart motherboards, together with easy classes and tutorials integrated with AI to make mechatronics learning easier.

3 Things I Discovered

1. The Code Avengers platform provides interactive learning modules for programming, AI and digital design, allowing students to build technical skills in a practical, structured and effective way.

2. A sharing session by John Gwyn Jones MBE from the Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA) showed how technology-enabled networks allow educators to exchange expertise internationally. As a student, I see this global knowledge exchange as something that can enrich learning and open new possibilities in technical education.

3. At the Pestalozzi Technology booth, I saw how the ALPHA digital application can optimise the management of school physical-fitness tests. This digital transformation can reduce educators’ administrative workload while enabling student health data to be analysed quickly, systematically and accurately.

One Idea For KVKS

I would like to make technology learning at KVKS more accessible by simplifying difficult concepts so they can attract students’ interest, while using AI as a support tool rather than a shortcut. From Bob Skertonas, creator of LearnEnglishABC.com, and Shaun Armstrong, Co-founder and Head of Innovation at Bolt Inventors, I learned that technology should be simplified so complex tasks do not discourage students. AI is not a complete solution; it should help students solve problems independently. I would therefore like assessment to place greater value on students’ own effort rather than complete dependence on AI, while still using AI appropriately as a learning aid.
